Truth, Justice And Hollywood Weasels!

Just in time for Independence Day weekend, it's Superman Returns, featuring the famous line "Truth, justice and the...REWRITE!"

That's right: the screenwriters of the new Superman pix "never considered" using the phrase "the American way" in their film. Why? Because it would "taint" Superman to link him to American values.

"We were always hesitant to include the term 'American way' because the meaning of that today is somewhat uncertain," says screenwriter Michael Dougherty. "The ideal hasn't changed. I think when people say 'American way,' they're actually talking about what the 'American way' meant back in the '40s and '50s, which was something more noble and idealistic."

As opposed to today, when the phrase would be something embarrassing and demeaning.

Thanks, Superman.

Who in his or her right mind would care one way or the other about a stupid and irrelevant comic character.

As to america it used a fair and decent place. Now it is run by an outright liar and a murderous terrorist in its own right.

If it were up to all the conservatives this would be just another hell hole. .well it has become that in the last few years.

I am so happy that we will shortly be leaving this ugly state for Cairo which is a beautiful place to live, study and rear children. It is a place of morals and great ideology. One can not be free in this part of the world any longer. Thank all that is beneficent we will have a good life not one of living under a dictator.(!!! he obviously doesn't know what the heck is going on in Egypt at the moment. mg)

So you want to live under the american way....good when they come after you remember that you are nothing more than an obviously depraved american having gotten that way from a fundamentalist background.

By the way Hollywood is not un american nor any other appellation you wish to apply to them. I can hardly wait until you people vote in the fall and the real americans take all of you and put you in jail where you belong.

May the world court have the opportunity to prosecute those in America who forced this war against millions of innocents. america is the laughing stock of the people of this world.
